Always Live,Love, and Learn The Journey

Are we ever really grateful or do we find ourselves lonely in the end because we only thought what we gave was a sufficient amount of time or sufficient amount of faith to reach our destiny. Everything happens in Gods time and this is how we sometimes miss our blessings disregarding warm true feelings. Peace be still but always be appreciative of warm thoughts, kindness, cards and gestures, because one day you may yearn and ache for it, but it's been disregarded.

DENIAL OF FITNESS

We all would like to be fit in a perfect world with no high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, things that can be prevented or kept under control with proper eating habits. I could write a million articles about proper form, eating habits, specific workouts, hygiene etc. You all must remember the most important message of all…is that fitness starts from within. You have to want it and be honest with yourself because no one can do it for you. This is your journey and you have to want it for the right reasons. The main reason is because you love yourself.

I spent a few days with a potential new client. The client male in his late twenties, obese and says he doesn’t eat burgers, no red meat and doesn’t eat that much. This is how the next day started, I just observed as he consumed 3 donuts, glazed, cream filled, and one covered with icing washed down with a glass of whole milk. Now we’ve left the house he stops to gas up the car. While going in to pay the cashier he grabs 2 sausage dogs with everything on them, mustard, ketchup, chilli, relish, onions, and mayonaise. We’re off again on our way to a meeting, upon arriving and being seated for the meeting we are offered donuts, cookies, juice and water…he accepts everything. The meeting lasts about 2 hours we’ve been seated the whole time and it’s not even 2:00pm. We leave the meeting, on to meet up with friends. On the way he hits the drive-thru ordering 2 chicken sandwiches, fries and a milkshake. After chatting with friends for about 2 hours, we’re on our way back to the apartment. Upon arriving at the apartment, in comes another friend with a big bucket of fried chicken, potato wedges and mac & cheese. He has a full meal followed by a beer to wash it all down, not 1 but 2. Then, he said I’m tired and went to lay down….oh did I forget to mention the little snacks in between…sorry. Oh yeah he had 4 pieces of fried chicken from the bucket…and he can’t understand why he hasn’t lost any weight because he doesn’t eat a lot for a guy his size. This was his daily routine and eating habits with no form of exercise included in the day. He is an excellent candidate for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart attack etc.

The next day I showed him what he had eaten the day before and there was not 1 healthy meal eaten that whole day. He said he was hungry and didn’t think he ate that much. He ate a lot and he knew that all of it wasn’t healthy. The change for this individual is going to have to come from within…..when their ready to change….and hopefully it won’t to late because literally….he’s a walking time bomb but he doesn’t think so.

I will keep you posted on the condition of our friend. If you have a story you would like to share about how health and fitness has changed your life or even if you wished, you had practiced healthy habits….please share with us because you never know when you could be helping or saving someone’s life.
